Whether students need remedial math tutoring or want to learn advanced mathematics, helping students master math is where I come in. I have more than three decades combined experience as an instructor, corporate trainer, and tutor. Using my own experiences as examples, I have learned how to connect with students who are struggling. I will adapt my teaching methods to how the student learns best. I help the student achieve overall success in mathematics through consistency. I establish a bond with the student and become a learning mentor, not just a tutor.

Math enrichment for gifted students or those desiring extra math instruction beyond that offered at their schools

Some parents choose to educate their children at home, and these students generally do quite well. However, many parents encounter difficulty trying to teach their children mathematics. The way math is taught has changed a great deal in the past few generations, and many parents find the math baffling.
No matter what your career goals (or those of your child), a solid knowledge of math is crucial to success. Unfortunately, many students have a hard time grasping math concepts in school; and because complex mathematics builds upon simple mathematics, once a student falls behind in math, it is very difficult for that student to get caught up again.
For example, mastering trigonometry requires competency in arithmetic, algebra, and geometry. In addition, students who fall behind in math have a hard time with other subjects that require math, such as chemistry, physics, engineering, business, accounting, and other mathintensive subjects.
Although some specific standardized tests are becoming optional, it is always best to take them to make you or your child more competitive in a very competitive world. I help prepare the student for not only the test material, but for the entire testtaking experience itself, including proper testday preparation, time management, and overcoming "test anxiety" and testday jitters.
If the test you or your child is taking is not listed above, please feel free to inquire.
